Is it really free?
Yes. Membership of ManufacturingUK.org is free, always, for UK manufacturing and engineering SMEs. There is no paid tier and no catch. The hub is paid for by sponsors and partners, not by members.
When does it launch?
The hub goes live on 5 October 2026. You can sign up as a founding member now and your business will be listed in the Verified Members directory from day one.
Who can join?
Any UK manufacturing or engineering SME. Support organisations, training providers and service companies can be listed as trusted partners or on the support map; sponsors can support the hub. See the pages for each.
What does "verified" mean?
Before a business appears in the directory we check that it is a genuine UK manufacturing or engineering company. That is what makes the directory useful to members and valuable to sponsors.
What is a founding member?
A business that signs up before launch. Founding members are the first to be listed and the first that sponsors see. There is no cost and no extra obligation.
Who is behind it?
Andrea Wilson, founder of Support UK Manufacturing Ltd, after more than 32 years in SME manufacturing at Hone-All Precision, including its equity sale, a five-year earn-out and her exit.
How is this different from a trade association?
It is not a membership body and it does not replace one. It is a front door: a single place that points you to the funding, skills, compliance and growth support that already exists, including trade associations.
What is Andrea Wilson Advisory?
A separate, one-to-one advisory service for owners who want to work with Andrea directly on their own business. The hub is free for everyone; advisory is by arrangement.
Can I list my organisation on the support map?
If you fund, train, advise or represent manufacturers, yes. Use the partners page to get in touch.
